The Daniel Nestor Tennis Centre (DNTC) is determined to create an unmatched sporting atmosphere that will add to the enjoyment of every member, employee and the communities of HRM. It is our interest to grow the game of tennis in Nova Scotia.
The DNTC is the first year-round all-weather tennis facility in Nova Scotia, and the only facility with indoor HarTru clay courts. Located in Bedford, the hub of Halifax Regional Municipality, the DNTC is minutes from Halifax and Dartmouth and close to the international airport and hotels.
The DNTC is designed to be a lifestyle centre, and a first-class tennis facility. The Centre has online booking for courts and membership enrollment allowing for ease in scheduling your play time and managing your account.
In addition to the six indoor clay courts the facility plans to expand with four additional outdoor clay courts within two years and enclosing them for winter play. This will allow for 10 indoor clay courts.
DNTC will provide its members with a variety of auxiliary services as we proceed with development phases. Phase I is our 6 indoor HarTru clay courts that opened in March. Phase 2 includes 4 outdoor clay courts with lights for night play and enclosed for winter play. Phase 2 will also include a small event stadium with clay court and several junior training hard courts for extended programming opportunity and camps for youth. Our clubhouse has clean showers and bathroom facilities along with a sitting area offering free WIFI. Refreshments are available along with healthy snacks. The Pro Shop carries all original clothing designs with DNTC branding to fit both youth and adult fashion tastes.
All this comes together in a facility that is second to none in Nova Scotia. COURT TIME HOURS for friends and family is a great way of giving. We have punch cards for one hour, five hours and ten hours. For this particular gift they do not need to be members. It is a great way to introduce someone to the game at the DNTC without the cost of membership.
